Marc Slors is a professor of Philosophy of mind and cognition at Radboud University Nijmegen. He recently intervened in the national debate about free will and the brain with his book Dat had je gedacht!. His position: neuroscience tells us next to nothing about free will, but it does provide us with the materials for a sophisticated view on who we are. In such a view consciousness plays a more indirect role.
He will give an introductory lecture together with Cees Leijenhorst.
